Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Indic Studio ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the WallPlayz Android application (package com.indicstudio.wallplayz, the "App"). We built WallPlayz to respect your privacy: the App has no user accounts and we do not ask you for, or directly collect, personal information such as your name, email or contacts.
Information stored on your device
Your wallpaper choices and customization settings (colours, styles, theme and similar preferences) are saved locally on your device using Android's private storage. This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and is removed when you uninstall the App.
Advertising
WallPlayz is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To provide and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect and process certain information, which can include:
- a device advertising identifier (Advertising ID);
- approximate/coarse location derived from your IP address;
- device information and general app-usage/ad-interaction data.
This processing is carried out by Google as an independent service. We do not receive this data in a form that identifies you. Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Consent (EEA, UK & Switzerland)
Where required by law, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to show a consent form before personalized ads are served, so you can choose whether to allow personalized advertising. You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Ad privacy options inside the App (shown where applicable).
Permissions the App uses
- Internet & network state — to load ads.
- Advertising ID (AD_ID) — used by Google AdMob for ads.
- Set / bind wallpaper — to apply live wallpapers to your home screen.
Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. Information related to advertising is processed by Google as described above. We may disclose information if required to do so by law.
Children
WallPlayz is not directed to children under 13 and contains advertising. If you believe a child has provided information through the ads shown in the App, please contact us and we will work with our ad partner to address it.
Your choices & rights
- Opt out of personalized ads via the in-App Ad privacy options (where available) or your Google account ad settings.
- Reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR/UK GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights to access, delete, or restrict processing of data held about you by Google; see Google's Privacy Policy for how to exercise them.
- Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored settings.
Data security & retention
Because settings are kept only on your device and we do not operate servers that store your personal data, there is no personal data held by us to retain or breach. Advertising data is retained by Google according to its own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
